Presenting Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC - INDIA) 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, India

The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Govt. of India is glad to announce Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC-India) scheduled on 02-03 March 2019 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. GHTC-Indi is a first of its kind gathering which shall help to identify, recognize & introduce Global Construction Technologies in India in terms of achieving cost-effective, Timely, Smart & Innovative construction techniques to meet Housing for All by 2022. We are pleased to inform that NAREDCO is knowledge Partner for GHTC- India.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has envisaged a paradigm shift in technology transition using large scale construction under PMAY (U) as an opportunity to get the best available construction technologies across the globe to speed up the construction and to achieve Housing for All. The paradigm shift in technology transition will also address the large scale housing construction in minimum time and cost with optimum use of resources and environment-friendly practices. In this context, MoHUA, GoI has conceptualised to conduct “Global Housing Technology Challenge-India (GHTC- India)” to enable the paradigm shift in the construction sector. The challenge shall have three components viz.

     i)  Conduct of Grand Expo-cum-Conference
     ii)  Identifying Proven Demonstrable Technologies from across the world
    iii)  Promoting Potential Technologies through the establishment of Affordable Sustainable Housing                          Accelerators- India (ASHA-India)for incubation support.
 
In this expo, the proven, innovative, alternative and demonstrable technology providers from across the globe are invited to showcase their technologies through presentations, prototypes through a selection process. The technologies which would be suitable for adoption in India will be awarded for construction of lighthouse projects on the ground at six different sites.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will inaugurate this event. The two days conference schedule will deliberate on developments in various countries of the world-renowned experts & key professionals from 30+ Countries are invited as speakers & delegates to join this expo-cum-conference. All organisations related to construction technologies will showcase their expertise through the adjoining exhibition at the venue.
